Historical memory. Places of the Battle of the Ebro

In the summer of 1938 the region of Terra Alta became the scene of the longest, bloodiest and most decisive battle of the Spanish Civil War. For 115 days the People’s Army of the Republic and the revolted troops of General Franco clashed on an 800 km2 battlefield. A battle that marked the lives of thousands of people and the territory where it took place.

In Terra Alta you will be able to discover emblematic places and interpretation centers that will help you to know the events that took place in these lands from July to November 1938.
