La Pobla de Massaluca

The northern limit of La Pobla de Massaluca is marked by the river Matarranya, affected by the tail of the Riba-roja reservoir. We find the only river port in the Terra Alta, connected to the river Ebro, where it is possible to practice all kinds of water activities. The village is located in a place with a privileged view of the different crops: vineyards, almond trees and olive trees. It also preserves several porches and some notable buildings for the architectural elements that remain.

Walking through the town

The village has several porches and some houses notable for the architectural elements that remain. The houses on Carrer Major are an example. At the end of this street is the Parish Church of Sant Antoni, a late Gothic building that was completed in 1608. Leaving the street by the pools you reach the hermitage of Santa Madrona from where you get a magnificent view of the crops of the Terra Alta.
